Fine Art
Scott Garriott began drawing at an extremely young age and was fascinated by the abundant wildlife in his surroundings in British Columbia, Canada. With photography as an aid, he began to experiment in new mediums and styles. Scott represented British Columbia internationally at Expo 86, and between 1986 and 1992 his paintings and drawings were reproduced as prints, cards, and on calendars. In this time he won several prizes in nation-wide art competitions, though the extremely time-consuming originals were very few in number. Since those early days, Scott has explored the mediums of pencil, charcoal, ink and watercolour, usually in a highly realistic style. His subject matter has grown considerably and he has a few limited edition series of fine-art prints available for sale.
Presentation and preservation are highly important! Make sure to have your artwork matted and framed using only the best materials and techniques. In Kristiansand, mounting/matting and framing are very capably handled by H Haavik Rammer og Kunst at Skippergata 4.
